Using authentic Czech beads (the original beads brought to Kenya by European Traders), women create vibrant patterns and styles. Handmade by the Samburu women in Kenya, the items are fair trade purchased to allow them to earn a living wage and education for their children. The Samburu use beads to commemorate significant events in their lives by making beaded items which tell of their family histories.
